CME: Pharmacogenetics: Entering an Era of Personalized Medicine

ACCREDITATION EXPIRED: May 19, 2016

Activity Description / Statement of Need:

(Participants in the program should take the post-test and complete the evaluation to receive CPE credit. A certificate will be emailed to you.)

Anecdotally, we know that people respond differently to drugs. Drug X might work great for your neighbor, but have no effect on your cousin. Performing testing of the human genome may help us predict patient response to some drugs. We are entering the era of personalized medicine/precision prescribing. This presentation will provide basic introductory information about genetic testing and how it affects pharmacists.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
