Learning Objectives

By the end of the session the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the interrelationship between cardiac and metabolic risk factors, adverse cardiovascular events, and chronic diseases and compose a care plan based on that information
  • List safe and effective risk mitigation strategies for cardiometabolic and related diseases and compose a care plan based on those strategies
  • Describe the of role socioeconomic, race, ethnic, and sex disparities in cardiometabolic and vascular risk, and formulate strategies for overcoming those barriers to care
