CME: Perioperative Fluid Optimization with Goal Directed Therapy:

Activity Description / Statement of Need:

In this online CME self-learning program:
Dr. Gan discusses the consequences of hypovolemia and fluid excess, goal directed therapy, and incorporating GDT in enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol. Minimally invasive methods to monitor cardiac output are also discussed.
The concept of individualized GDT in surgical patients seems to be an important component for optimization of perioperative fluid management and outcome in high-risk surgical patients.

Target Audience:

This program has been designed for a multidisciplinary physician and nurse audience including: Emergency Medicine / ICU / Anesthesia / Peri-op / Intensivists / Trauma / Critical Care
