Barbara, 'Bobbi' Leeper RN, MN, CNS MS, CCRN, FAHA is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Throughout her extensive career in critical care nursing, Bobbi has authored or co-authored a multitude of articles, abstracts and book chapters.

Among her many awards, she accepted the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award from the Council on Cardiovascular Nursing of the American Heart Association in 1997.Additionally, she was made a Fellow of the American Heart Association in 2001. She has served on the editorial boards of Critical Care Nurse, Focus, and AACN Clinical Issues. Bobbi has played an active role in the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and presents frequently at the National Teaching Institute. She has served on many committees at the national level as well as the local level in both the Dallas County and Greater Kansas City Chapters of AACN.

In her current role at Baylor, she participates in multidisciplinary rounds, protocol development, quality improvement initiatives and standards of practice for critical care with particular emphasis in cardiac surgery and cardiology patients.
