Eric Tam, MD, is a blood and marrow transplant and hematology oncology specialist at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of Keck Medicine of USC. He is triple board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine.
Dr. Tam provides expertise in stem cell transplantation and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, with a particular focus on leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
His research interests include improving outcomes in blood and marrow transplant and developing strategies for relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia and higher-risk MDS, among other cancers. He’s been named to the Rising Stars list by Super Doctors.
Dr. Tam grew up in the suburbs of the San Francisco Bay area and earned his bachelor’s in chemical engineering before deciding on a career in medicine. Away from work, he enjoys the outdoors, reading, cooking, playing piano, traveling and spending time with family.
