Learning Objectives

By the end of the session the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the best therapy for mild COVID-19 treated out of the hospital
  • Describe characteristics of the Delta variant including transmissibility and severity of illness
  • Describe the protean neurological presentations and long-haul sequelae of COVID-19 infections
  • Define the importance of COVID-19 in the public health arena
  • Identify appropriated decision-making as to when to use corticosteroids and new biologic modifiers for patients hospitalized with COVID-19
